Leaders Summit: Agfa and Digital Transformation
The FuturePrint Leaders Summit is taking place on the 23rd and 24th of March, where global leaders in print technology will offer insight, opinion and a vision for the future as the world emerges, a new market materialises, and new opportunities are revealed. Pascal Juery has been Chief Executive Officer of the Agfa-Gevaert Group since February 1, 2020. He describes his aim as ‘to continue the transformation of Agfa in the digital world’. DoDxAct’s Pandemic Response – Driving Lab Capability
In the FuturePrint events in October 2020 and February 2021, the effects of the pandemic on print and the hopes for the future have been a big focus. When the UK lockdown was announced in February 2020 DoDxAct had only been trading for just over two years and was building a reputation for combining its expertise in inkjet process optimisation with a practical support through lab testing. Almost 50% of our business relied on travel to customer sites, either providing print head and waveform training or assisting directly with the design and build of highly-customised inkjet deposition devices.

Founding FuturePrint Partner, Ricoh is opening market access to American ink pioneer Farbenpunkt’s innovative new textile ink, PeractoJet. The collaboration enables OEM clients to compete in the highly attractive digital textile market and enhance their environmental offering. Reducing the environmental impact of global textile production caused by using dye-based, such as reactive inks in digital and analogue processes, is the driver for this collaboration.

Sustainable Label Printing: First complete UV LED Printing Press in Poland
The family-run printing company Eticod from Katowice, Poland, founded in 1994, focused on the sustainable production of labels at an early stage and has already invested in photovoltaic systems and heat exchangers in the past. With the investment in UV-LED for drying, the CO2 emissions at Eticod are reduced even further. With the construction of the new factory building, production could be expanded and made even more sustainable.
