Packaging applications account for over 95% of Siegwerk's ink usage, and their inks are suitable for direct imaging on food containers, such as bottle caps, plastic lids, and cups, which have indirect food contact. Siegwerk differentiates itself by developing single-pass UV cure inks that meet rigorous regulations such as REACH, complying with the Nestle List, and California Prop 65. Siegwerk’s purchasing department strictly adheres to guidelines to avoid acquiring any chemicals that are restricted.
