FuturePrint TECH Packaging & Labels, Valencia - Day Two Round-up

The presentations on the second day of the Valencia FuturePrint TECH Packaging & Labels conference continued to match the high standards set on day one! During the breaks, the atmosphere was buzzing with delegates connecting and exchanging ideas, perhaps this was also amplified by the lovely sunshine outside…

A standout for us was a presentation by Dario Urbinati from Gallus. Dario spoke about the urgent need for the printing industry to adapt to ongoing market challenges, such as demographic shifts, labour shortages, and technological advancement. Urbinati also talked about the move towards smart, connected printing solutions and taking advantage of automation, artificial intelligence, and cloud connectivity to improve efficiency, reduce human intervention, and meet sustainability goals. Urbinati thinks that this can only be achieved by involving the upcoming generation and by harnessing digital transformation & teamwork which are all steps that are crucial for the industry's continued success.

Another highlight was Kristi Duvall's presentation from The BoxMaker in Seattle, USA, focusing on the journey from analogue to digital in print sales. Kristi spoke about the importance of embracing change to stay competitive and relevant. She also took part in a panel discussion with Adi Shorer from HP and Leopoldo Santorromán from Cartonajes Santorromán which looked at why digital print for packaging makes economic sense.

The overwhelming positive feedback from participants like Karl Ciz from Zaikio, supports our commitment to this event. Karl commented that FuturePrint events such as this, provide a real opportunity to exchange ideas with likeminded people in our industry. With that in mind, Frazer Chesterman and Marcus Timson are thrilled to announce that the FuturePrint TECH Packaging & Labels conference will return to Valencia next year, scheduled for April 2-3, 2025 with many delegates and speakers pledging their continued support for this event going forward.

As we wrap up this year's conference, we would like to thank all our speakers, attendees, and sponsors for making these two days such a success. We’re really looking forward to next year's conference – so please save the date for April 2-3, 2025 and get in touch with us if you are interested in speaking or attending this event.
